I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
